Poetry

WHEN I GROW UP

  • Name 6 jobs the narrator imagines he/she can perform in the future.
  • Can you explain the meaning of the two last lines?

WHISTLING

  • What problem does the poet have?

I KNOW ALL THE SOUNDS THAT THE ANIMALS MAKE

  • What animals does the author name?

HURRY GRANDMA HURRY

  •  Name four mischiefs you can find in the poem
  • What happened to grandma at the end of the poem?

LIFE’S NOT BEEN THE SAME IN MY FAMILY

  • Does the author like his/her baby sister?

I HAVE A DOZEN DRAGONS

  • What do those dragons eat?
  • Are they always inside the house?
I DON'T WANT TO
  • What is really the problem?
I'M ALL MIXED UP
  • What problem does the narrator have today?
 A MILLION CANDLES
  • What are those candles?
  1. Which is you favourite poem? Why?
